I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some pretty colored florals on my DSP. I’m tired of the drab, dull colors of some of the recent choices. It is spring! Feels like summer! I went through my stash and came up with Florals in Bloom DSP, and can you believe it is still current? Marilyn here with another card.
To make the card base, I cut a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Silver Foil Sheets to 4¾” x 3⅜”. (Of course, I cut out the center to save my pretty foil paper.) I cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock to 3¼” x 4⅝”. I cut a piece of Florals in Bloom DSP to 3″ x 4″.
I cut the DSP into four 1″ strips. I adhered the strips, starting with the outside ones, to my green mat using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I kept the pieces in order so the image would flow.

I glued the inner two strips to my panel and glued the panel to my silver foil mat. This left narrow 1/16″ borders all around. I glued this to my card base.

I stamped Happy Birthday from Banner Sayings bundle with Strawberry Slush ink on Basic White cardstock. I punched out the banner with the coordinating punch.
I adhered this to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little sparkle, I added a Pearlized Faceted Circle to my sentiment.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4″ x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
I hope you liked this cheerful, simple card.
