Oh My Fright Boo Card

Today I have a fun Halloween card for you. It may look complicated, but in fact it is quite simple to make. A few die cuts, some embossing, easy! And since Halloween is just 10 days away, I thought I should share this. (Can you believe we only have 10 days left in October? Where does the time go?)

And from October 21-23, Stampin’ Up! is having a Flash Sale, 15% off select dies and die cutting tools. The Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is not included in the sale. Check it out and see what is available.

Now on to the card. To make the card base, I cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 3⅞” x 5⅛” to act as a mat. I cut a piece of Timid Tiger cardstock to 3¾” x 5”. I ran the orange piece through my Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using two clear plates.

From the center of my black mat piece, I die cut the tree from Oh My Fright dies in the bundle and the third smallest circle from Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered my orange embossed piece to the black mat piece with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal).

On the black circle, I stamped Boo to you in Versamark ink from the Oh My Fright bundle, sprinkled on some white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powder pack, and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

From the Oh My Fright dies, I cut the tree, large cloud, and two small clouds from Smoky Slate cardstock. I cut the moon from Lemon Lolly cardstock. I cut the smaller ghost from Basic White cardstock.

I adhered my gray tree to my panel first. I let the branches extend beyond the edge. You can trim them off or leave them. I added the black tree. I added the Boo circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I arranged my clouds and moon and glued them together and added them to my panel. I added the ghost, making sure the eyes and mouth openings were placed over the black tree. You could also add a scrap of black cardstock behind them if you prefer.

I added my panel to my card base.

To finish the card, I stamped Happy Halloween on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.

I hope you liked this card!
