It’s Saturday and I have a simple card for you using the darling Cutest Crew stamp set. I decided to use the cats on this card, but you could easily switch to dogs if you are a dog person. We have a cat, and my boys both have cats, so I guess we are cat people. Sometimes I think I want a dog and then I remember how much work is involved. Either way, it’s great to have a companion.

Now on to the card. To make the card base, I cut a piece of Hydrangea Hue cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4” x 5¼” and ran it through my Rustic Check Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut a piece of Bloom Boutique DSP to 4′ x 2″. I cut a strip of Gold Foil Sheets to 4″ x ½”. I adhered my white embossed piece to my card base using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I added the gold strip to the bottom on my DSP piece and added this panel to my card, about ¾” from the bottom of my card.

I die cut a circle from Basic White cardstock using Spotlight on Nature dies. I cut a 2¾” circle from Hydrangea Hue cardstock. I have a set of nesting circle dies that I like to use, so use what you have in your stash. I stamped Happy Birthday from the Cutest Crew bundle in Hydrangea Hue ink. I added this label to my card.

I stamped the row of cats from the set in Black ink on white cardstock. I used Stampin’ blends to color them in. Here are some color suggestions: Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Pecan Pie, Hydrangea Hue, and Color Lifter. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I added the kitties to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut the butterflies in the set from Hydrangea Hue cardstock. I added them to the card.

For a bit of sparkle, I added three Rhinestones to the card.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
