It’s Saturday so I have another simple card that uses DSP as the focal point. Stampin’ Up! designs such beautiful papers that it is so easy to make simple cards. In Terry’s last class, she made a card similar to this one. I modified it just a little.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼” and 2⅛”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I folded the 2⅛” fold back on itself (mountain fold).

I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock to 3½” x 5″ to mat my DSP. I cut another piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock to 1″ x 3½”. I ran this strip through my Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine for a little texture. You can skip this part if you prefer. I cut a piece of Floral Charm DSP to 3¼” x 4⅞”. This DSP has a directional pattern, so keep that in mind before cutting. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3¼” x 4⅞” for inside the card.

I adhered my DSP to my green mat with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I added my embossed strip about ¾” up from the bottom.

I added my panel to my card base. I only put glue on the side that connected to the folded back part.

I stamped the smallest flower from Boutique Blossom bundle twice in Pumpkin Pie ink and twice in Berry Burst ink. Make sure you clean your stamp before swapping colors. I stamped the leaf in Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I die cut the smallest label from Beautifully Celebrated die set from Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I stamped I’m here for you from Banner Sayings stamp set with Black ink.

I arranged my flowers and leaves on my label and adhered them. I added it to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Gold Adhesive Backed Gems to my card.

I stamped a greeting on my white piece. To add it to the card, I placed it on the back of my DSP panel, added glue to the back of the white piece and closed the card onto it. This keeps the white piece hidden behind the front panel.
