It’s Saturday and I have a simple card for you. This card was featured at Terry’s August class. It is full of color and texture. I changed it up a bit from the one she had with current product. As always, use what you have in your stash if you prefer.

Now on to the card. To make my card base, I cut a piece of Golden Glow cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut an additional piece of Golden Glow CS to 4″ x 5¼” and ran it through my Textured Tree Ring Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I adhered my embossed piece to my card base with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal).

I cut a piece of Sunflower Fields DSP to 3″ x 4″. I cut a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock to 3⅛” x 4⅛”. I glued my DSP piece to my Cajun Craze piece with a narrow border.

I cut a ½” x 4″ strip and added it to my panel about ¾” from the bottom. Using a narrow strip of DSP is a good substitute for ribbon. I added this panel to my card base.

From Golden Glow CS, I die cut my favorite label from Sweet Words & Labels dies. I stamped Thank you for being there for me from Words & Wishes stamp set in Cajun Craze ink.

I added my label to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a bit of shine, I added two Gold Adhesive Backed Gems to my label.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
