It’s Saturday so I have another simple card. This card was featured at Terry’s July card class. It uses DSP that is available for 15% off through the end of August. It was still available as I wrote this post. Some of the available cardstock is perfect for those autumn cards. It is worth a look. Now on to the card.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Barely Blush cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut another piece of Barely Blush to 4¼” x 5½”, which I ran through my Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I trimmed it down to 4⅛” x 5⅜” and glued it to my card base with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). If you prefer, you could just emboss the front of your card instead. This is a deep embossing folder, and it does alter the side of the cardstock. I like the clean look that the very narrow border provides.

I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3″ x 4¼”. To add a little texture to the white, I smooshed my Barely Blush ink pad onto an acrylic block. I added some water with a paint brush and mixed the ink and water. I tapped the paint brush against my bone folder to add some ink splatter. (I tested it on some scrap paper first.) I cut a piece of Artisan Sketched Garden DSP to 3″ x 1¾”. I adhered this DSP piece to the white piece leaving a ⅛” border at the bottom. I added this panel to my card base.

I cut a bouquet of flowers from the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP. I colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. There are several different images to choose from. You can adjust your colors to suit which bouquet you choose. I do recommend Barely Blush blends because it will coordinate with your cardstock. After coloring, I trimmed close to my image.

I cut a strip of Basic Black cardstock to ½” x 3¾”. I adhered this to my card where the DSP meets the white. I stamped celebrate from Banner Sayings bundle in Black ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock. I punched this out with my coordinating punch. You can easily change the sentiment because there are several to choose from. I added my sentiment.

I added my flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of shine, I added two 2026-2028 In Color Dots. An alternative would be to add Barely Blush Stampin’ Blend to a couple Iridescent Basic Pearls. I tied a knot in some Barely Blush ⅜” ribbon and added it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
