It’s Saturday so I have another somewhat simple card. I have had this fun stamp set for a few weeks and decided to give it a try. I was also thinking of making a card with this DSP layout. I think the two worked well together.

Now on to the card. For the card base I cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheets to 3-7/16″ x 4-13/16″. (I know they are odd numbers. You can cut to the next ⅛” increment and have a wider border if that makes it easier.) From the center of the gold piece, I die cut the circle from Service Essentials dies (bundle) on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut a piece of Crisp Cantaloup cardstock to 3¼” x 4⅝”. I cut a piece of Bloom Boutique DSP to 3″ x 4″. I cut the DSP into four 1″ strips.

With my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) I adhered the strips on the Crisp Cantaloup piece, leaving a ⅛” border around and between the strips. I adhered this to my gold mat, and this panel to my card base.

With the Birthday Song stamp set, I stamped the flamingos in Black ink on Basic White cardstock. I colored the flamingos in with Stampin: Blends: Flirty Flamingo and Golden Glow. I fussy cut this out with my scissors.

On a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, I stamped Clap, Clap, Clap & Hey! from the stamp set with Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallicsd Embossing pack. I heat set it with my Heat Tool. With a 1½” circle punch, I punched out my sentiment. I adhered this to my gold circle with a very narrow border.

On a ½” strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped This is your birthday song… It isn’t very long! in Flirty Flamingo ink. I slid my strip into my Banner Sayings punch (bundle) and flagged one end. The words are too long to fit into the punch, so I just slid one end into the punch.

I added my banner to the flamingos’ legs and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the circle sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
