It’s Saturday and I have another simple card featured at Terry’s June class using the Waterside Retreat DSP. This pack of paper really is a time saver for quick cards. Who can resist the beautiful images? Not me! So, let’s get to the card.
To make the card base, I cut a piece of Pool Party cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to 3⅛” x 4⅛” to act as my mat. I cut another piece to 4¼” x 1⅝” and ran it through my Forever Plaid Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to add a little texture and help distinguish it from the mat. I cut my focal image from Waterside Retreat DSP and trimmed it down to 3″ x 4″.
I stamped the Adirondack chair from Relaxing Waterside bundle on Basic White cardstock with Smoky Slate ink. I die cut it out with the coordinating dies. I colored in the chair with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.
I stamped Happy Birthday from Banner Sayings bundle on a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Smoky Slate ink. I punched it out with the coordinating banner punch. I cut a ¼” strip of Lost Lagoon cardstock. With the Banner Sayings punch, I flagged one end.

I adhered my sentiment to this strip using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) to help highlight the sentiment.

I adhered the embossed piece to my card base about ¼” from the bottom. I adhered my DSP piece to my gray mat. I glued this panel to my card base.

With Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added the Adirondack chair to my card.

I added my sentiment to my card with Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
I hope you liked this simple card.
