Simple Waterside Retreat Card

It’s Saturday, so I have a simple card for you. Some of you may recognize it from Terry’s last class where she had it as a Father’s Day card. Tomorrow is Father’s Day, so I hope you have already created the perfect card for him. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! This card is so easy to change sentiments on. The DSP does all the work. So, let’s get to it.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Peaceful Pines cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder for a top folding landscape card. I cut a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock to 5″ x 3½” to act as a mat. I cut the lakeshore image from the bottom right from Waterside Retreat DSP to act as my focal image. There are many great images on this sheet that would make beautiful cards.

Finally, I stamped Happy Birthday from Banner Sayings bundle in Lost Lagoon ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the coordinating punch in the bundle. I did leave a bit more space ot the left of the sentiment to add a Linen Thread bow.

To assemble the card, I adhered my focal panel to the teal mat with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I added this to my card base.

I added my sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added my Linen Thread bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

I hope you liked this very simple but pretty card.
