I love these Coffin Boxes from Stampin’ Up! They are GREAT for Halloween and offer an easy way to WOW for your Trick-or-Treaters with something spooky AND sweet!
These boxes come in a pack of 12 for $7. They come flat but are super simple to assemble. This saves a lot of time when making multiple treat boxes. And they are SO cute!!
First, assemble the boxes. The Tear & Tape Adhesive will hold your box together better than adhesive. The boxes are already scored, so it is super simple to fold them into the perfect shape! Use the photo below to help you place your adhesive.
Next, I cut a piece of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. There are so many cute designs in this pack, but I thought the grey scrolls looked great with the Ornate Frames Dies. TIP: You can trace the top of the box on cardboard to make a pattern and cut away about 1/8″ all the way around the pattern. Then trace on the opposite side of the scroll paper or design you choose to use.
I stamped “Open if You Dare” greeting from the Spooktacular Bash Bundle on Whisper White Cardstock with Black Memento Ink. I cut this piece and black mat piece from Basic Black Cardstock with the dies from the Ornate Frames Die and the adhered the greeting. Finally, I cut the green Noble Peacock Foil Sheets with the Ornate Frames Die. The die is so intricate and makes the coffin box greeting look spooky. The foil gives it the shiny WOW factor. It is such a pretty color for cards and doubles as a great green for Halloween! Pop up your greeting piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then add a green rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones for a little matching bling.
All that is left to do is put your favorite candy inside!! Enjoy these spooky treats and check out my Coffin Treat Boxes Supply List
