Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Tree Card

Tree 2.jpgI just love the way this card turned out! This beautiful card showcases the Wrapped in Plaid DSP. The best part about this design is you can mix and match Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, and Shaded Spruce paper for card base and top piece over the DSP.

Start with a 5.5″ x 8.5″ of cardstock for the base of this card. Cut a 5.25″ x 3.75″ piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP. Cut two thin strips of Gold Foil Sheets and affix the Wrapped in Plaid DSP so that the strips of Gold Foil Sheets border on the top and bottom of the card. These gold strips accent the gold in the DSP and make the card so stunning!

Next, I punch three trees with the Pine Tree Punch on a piece of 5″ x 3″ cardstock. TIP:  Punch right and left tree then center the punch as far as it will go in lining up the middle between the two punched trees.  I topped the trees with star embellishments and affixed the punched tree piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a “Merry Christmas” greeting on Whisper Cardstock and cut a flag on each end. TIP:  Cut up the middle at each end of cardstock then end to center on both sides to make a perfect flag on each end.  I affixed the greeting with dimensionals.

Have fun mixing and matching designs with the Wrapped in Plaid DSP! Here is a second card I made with another color combination.  Check out my Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Tree Card Supply List
