It’s Saturday and I have another simple card. Terry featured a similar card at her October class. Halloween is now over and we have set our clocks back one hour and fall is settling in. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. Are you looking forward to the Black Friday sales? I have never participated in the sales. I’m just not that into the crowds and have always enjoyed having that Friday off to relax and enjoy the day. My mom has always had our family Thanksgiving on the Saturday after and we have continued that tradition but now go to my brother’s house. He and his wife have graciously volunteered to host. My husband’s brother hosts on Thanksgiving itself, so I never have to make Thanksgiving dinner. Yay, me because I’m not a stellar cook. My man cooks our Christmas dinner every year. I can handle the sides.
Now on to the card. To make the card base, I cut a piece of Golden Glow cardstock to 5½ā x 8½ā on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼ā, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut another piece to 4¼ā x 5½ā and ran it through my Rustic Check Embossing Folder on my Stampinā Cut & Emboss Machine. I trimmed the piece down to 4ā ā x 5ā ā and adhered it to my card base with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampinā Seal). Alternatively, you could emboss the front of the card base with the folder. This is a 3D embossing folder and it reduces the integrity of cardstock making it flimsy. You could also mount the untrimmed piece on thick white cardstock if you prefer.

I cut a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock to 3¼ā x 4¼ā to act as a mat. I cut a piece of Sunflower Fields DSP to 3″ x 4″. I adhered my DSP to my mat and added it to my card.

With Radiant Sunflowers dies, I die cut the petals from Crushed Curry cardstock, the flower center from Early Espresso cardstock, and the stem from Mossy Meadow cardstock. I cut a rectangle from Nested Essentials dies from Basic White cardstock and stamped Just a little Hello from Cutest Crew stamp set in Cajun Craze ink.

I assembled the flower and added it to my label.

I added my focal image and sentiment to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a little sparkle, I added three yellow Radiant Gems.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4ā x 5¼ā piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
I hope you liked this card!
