Simple Saturday: Forever Greenery Greeting Card

Today’s card features the Forever Greenery DSP. This DSP would make beautiful holiday cards, but as you can see it is very versatile and makes pretty greeting cards as well!

This card starts with an 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock.

At the top of the card, I cut the bottom of the card off at a diagonal and added a small strip of Gold Foil Paper to add some contrast to the top of the card.

I attached a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Very Vellum between the top of the card and the DSP at the bottom to fill in the middle of the card.

TIP: Add a piece of 4″ x 5.25 piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card so that the the card looks white when closed.

At the bottom of the card, I added a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP cut at a diagonal.

I stamped the “Thinking of you with all my heart greeting” in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I cut out the greeting with one of my Stitched So Sweetly dies.

I used my Sprig Punch to cut out some Very Vellum Cardstock and my Leaf Punch to cut out some Gold Foil Paper. I put these accents behind the greeting and attached the greeting with dimensionals.

I embellished the corner of the greeting with a little gold twine from the Forever Greenery Ribbon to add a bit of sparkle!

On the inside of the card, I backed the DSP and Pretty Peacock so that the Vellum wouldn’t show through on the inside.
