Sunflower Celebration Card

It is Sunflower season! The Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle makes the prettiest cards and is perfect for the transition from summer to fall! This card was designed by my friend Marilyn Falco.

This card starts with a 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock. Next, I cut a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock and embossed it with my Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I centered it on the front of the card.

Next, I used the Sunflower Die and cut out two sunflowers from Whisper White Cardstock. I glued the sunflowers to the left side of the card so they spanned the length of the card. I adhered the largest Stitched Nested Label Die cut from Whisper White Cardstock over the sunflowers so only the petals stick out.

Next, I stamped the sunflower stamp from the Sunflower Stamp Set using Black Memento Ink as well as some of the leaves on Whisper White Cardstock.

I colored the center of the flower with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack and the petals with Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack. I used my Just Jade Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack for the sunflower leaves.

I cut out the flower and leaves out with the Sunflower Dies and used some Dimensionals to attach it over top the leaves.

Finally, I stamped the “Let’s celebrate you” greeting from the Sunflower Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight on Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I attached the greeting with Dimensionals.
