Spring Framed Decor

Spring Frame

Happy Saturday!

I hope you saw my Easter Framed Home Decor post on Wednesday!

Today, I want to show you another CUTE option for small, framed seasonal decor!

This project is another 5″ x 7″ framed picture.

To begin, I took a full 6″ x 6″ piece of A Little Foxy DSP (retired) and then cut an additional 1″ strip to attach to the edge of the 6″ x 6″. This DSP is retired, but any polka dot DSP looks great with this design, or check out the end of my post to see some additional variations made with Gingham DSP.

Use a few pieces of scotch tape on the BACK of the DSP to attach it. Make sure the pattern lines up on the edge so that nobody can spot a break in the paper.

I used my “happy” Well Written Die and cut it from Bermuda Bay Cardstock.

I used my Alphabet dies to cut out SPRNG (the bouquet takes the place of the “I” in “spring”!) in Coastal Cabana  and Bermuda Bay Cardstock.   I have these alphabet dies for sale, just contact me!

Next, I cut out the vase using my Brights 6 x 6 DSP from last year, but you can use any bright paper that goes with your background! The flowers are punched from the Pleased as Punch DSP. If you didn’t get yours, it is available from me! I used the Small Bloom Punch from Saleabration to punch out my flowers.

Finally, I embellished the middle of my flowers with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

When finished, I popped my piece in a 5 x 7 blue frame I found at Kohl’s to add a fun pop of color!

Check out some of the other pieces I made:

When using a more colored background like the ones above, use white with your primary color.

Need a simple project for the next couple weeks? OR interested in some of these exact same DSP combinations? I have Spring KITS available for $15–which includes a frame to display your piece! Contact me below to order your kit!
