Happy 4th of July! Even if your holiday is a little different this year, I hope you are able to enjoy the long weekend with your family and friends!

We made today’s card to honor our country’s Independence Day!

This card starts with a 3.75″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. To make this patriotic card, stamp some of the waves from the Waterfront Stamp Set in the top corner of the card using Pacific Point ink. Next, stamp the rest of the “flag” in Real Red using the same wave stamp from the Waterfront Stamp Set.

Stamp the trees about half an inch up from the bottom of the card in Basic Black and then use a sponge dauber with black ink pad to fill in the bottom of the piece of cardstock.

Mat your stamped piece of cardstock on a piece of Basic Black and then a piece of Whisper White cardstock behind that.

Finally, mount your design on a 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock.

Simple but beautiful!! You can add a greeting to this card for 4th of July, Veteran’s Day, or to honor your hero. One of my customers added gold embossed fireworks to the sky and it looked beautiful.  Small greetings look really nice embossed in white on the Basic Black!
