Geared Up for Father’s Day Card

Fathers Day

Not too early to start thinking about making your Dad or your Son a Father’s Day Card!!  I pulled this from last year and still love the color combination.  You can also make it into a Birthday card by changing the inside greeting.

This card uses the set Geared Up Garage Cling Stamp Set.  I used a piece of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic Black Cardstock.  Cut DSP 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 and 5 1/4 x 1 1/2.  I used the Classic Garage DSP (retired last year) but you can use Basic Black printed papers from the Neutrals DSP or any black prints you have on hand.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the rectangle with Whisper White Cardstock.  The Shaded Spruce Cardstock border is 3 3/4″ x 2 3/8″ and the Basic Black Cardstock is 4″ x 2 3/4″.  I used Silver Foil to cut a 5.25″ x 1/2″ strip and cut the border around the “Best Dad” greeting with a framelit from the Garage Gears Dies.  I stamped the “Best Dad” greeting in Black Memento Ink and a “Happy Father’s Day” greeting on the inside.

Then stamp the car in Black Memento Ink and color with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Last year, I cut the car from the Classic Garage DSP but stamping the image works also!!
