This week I am featuring the Playful Penguins Cling Stamp Set. This cute card gives some festive flair when accompanied with the Wrapped in Plaid DSP! 

I used a 5.5″ x 8.5″ piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock for the base of this card. Next, I adhered a 5″ x 2″ piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP to the base of my card. 

I stamped my penguins on a piece of Whisper White  Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I was amazed at the detail in the penguins, its a beautiful stamp!  TIP:  When cutting, always cut images (the penguins) with a little white border.  Our Paper Snips are a super sharp scissors that allow great precision when cutting.  White borders  look so much better than flush against the image!!  One of the best tools you’ll ever own!

Next, I stamped the scarves in Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, and Night of Navy. I fussy cut the pieces and adhered the middle penguin to a 5″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Night of Navy Cardstock using Snail Adhesive. I popped up the penguins on each side of the middle one with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the card some dimension. 

Finally, I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy on Whisper White  Cardstock and cut a flag on each side.  TIP:  Cut straight in the middle of the flag, then side to middle on each side for a perfect banner every time!!  I used a piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock behind the greeting.  Add your favorite gold embellishment to the greeting to pop the gold accent in the DSP!
