Make this sweet card showcasing the Free as a Bird stamp set and the new Seaside Spray In Color!
For this card, you need a 5.5 x 8.5 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. To start, I stamped the front of the card with the large flower stamp from the Free as a Bird stamp set using Seaside Spray ink. Use a scrap piece of paper to stamp off for a seamless look that won’t mess up your table and supplies.
Next, use a Tuxedo Black Memento Inkpad to stamp the birds on a piece of white cardstock. I used the Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack to color in the birds’ feathers as well as Crumb Cake Light Stampin’ Blends Marker and Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker for the tree branch and a touch of So Saffron Light Stampin’ Blends Marker for the bird beaks.
TIP: Add the darker Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blend around the edges of the bird feathers to add some dimension to the image!
After you have colored in the birds, cut out the finished image with the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die.
Next, cut a piece of the Seaside Spray 2019–2021 In Color 6″ X 6″ gingham paper so it is about ½” thick. Cut the piece at an angle about 4” in length.
Place the gingham paper on the card about ½” from the bottom of the card. Then, take a 4.5” piece of the Seaside Spray 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon and cut it at an angle. Place the ribbon over the gingham paper.
Finally, center the birds on top of the ribbon with dimensionals and embellish with a few of the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots!
