It’s Wednesday and I have a card that uses supplies that are not traditionally geared towards St. Patrick’s Day. Of course, the green and gold are typical colors but the die sets that I used are from my stash and I thought I would repurpose them.
Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! released new Online Exclusives. You will want to check them out. There are several cute sets to choose from. Also, we have a new Product of the Month. Spend $75 after rewards and before tax/shipping and get this set for only $5.

Now on to the card. For the card base, I cut a piece of Basic Beige cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock to 3½” 4¾”. I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock to 3⅜” x 4⅝”. The green pieces will create my panel for my focal image.
With my Endless Love dies, I die cut the row of five small hearts from Granny Apple Green cardstock on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut it 12 times for a total of 60 hearts. It didn’t take TOO long.

From Gold Foil Sheets, I die cut the branch from the Beautifully Celebrated dies three times. I also cut the decorative corner two times from the gold sheets for a total of four.

With my pieces, I created my own shamrocks from the hearts. I used a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to stick the hearts together. I made 15 shamrocks altogether. A good pair of reverse tweezers made it so much easier.

I picked up the shamrocks with my Take Your Pick Tool and transferred them to the gold branch. I made three sprigs. To keep the exposed Dimensional backing from sticking to my work surface, I stuck them on an empty Dimensional sheet.

I adhered the four corners to my Mossy Meadow panel with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). You might see in the photo where I dropped one of the corners on my cardstock and the glue left a little mess. No worries. I was able to conceal the mess.

I added this panel to my Old Olive mat.

I added my shamrock bushes to my panel.

I stamped Good Luck from the Good Luck Stamp Set with Mossy Meadow ink on a strip of Basic Beige cardstock. I punched it out with my Banner Sayings punch. I adhered this to my panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals, overlapping where the branches converge.

I glued this panel to my card base. The olive gave just enough separation between the darker green and the light card base.

I debated adding some gems or other sparkle, but decided to keep it simple, or as simple as making a card with almost 20 cuts with dies. Thank goodness for the multiple piece dies!
To finish my card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card. You could stamp some of the shamrocks from the stamp set inside, also.
I hope you liked this card! It is always fun to stretch our supplies in unexpected ways.
