Jolly Delivery Card

It’s Saturday and I have a simple card for you. It seems everything is coming up Christmas, and we haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving yet! I know many of you are working on your Christmas cards, or maybe even completed them. I can honestly say I haven’t started mine yet. I haven’t decided on a design, and I usually like to think about it for a bit before deciding. So, today I have a simple design that is easily replicated. And the stamp set is so much fun! So, let’s get started.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to 5½” x 8½” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4¼”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of the North Pole Delivery DSP to 4″ x 5″ and then cut it apart along the 5″ side at 3½”, to have a 4″ x 3½” piece and a 4″ x 1½” piece. I cut it into two pieces so I could flip one piece over for a bit of variety. I cut a piece of Gold Foil sheets to 4″ x ½”. I ran this through my Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine for a bit of texture.

I used my Branching Out dies to cut a label from Basic White cardstock (smallest one) and Real Red cardstock (second smallest one).

From the North Pole Delivery DSP, I punched two of the laser cut pieces.

With Pool Party ink, I stamped the compass from the Jolly Delivery stamp set on the white label. Next, I stamped Special Delivery in Real Red ink.

I adhered this to the red label with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal).

I adhered my two DSP pieces to my card base.

There is a gap between the two pieces, but I will be covering it with my embossed gold strip. When I embossed the gold strip, I tried to center the strip on the images I wanted in the embossing folder before running it through my machine.

Back to the label. I glued the house to the left side of the label.

I added the delivery van with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I glued the label flat on my card.

For a bit of sparkle and shine, I added a bow tied from Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon (one of my favorite ribbons), and three Rhinestones.

To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside the card.

I hope you liked this card!
