Simple Christmas Card

It’s Simple Saturday and I have a quick and easy card. The DSP does all the work! You could step it up by adding dry embossing to the card base or add a few additional embellishments. This is a great card for mass producing. With Christmas just two months away, it is time to think about Christmas cards! If you came to Terry’s most recent class, you had the opportunity to make this card.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Secret Sea cardstock to 4¼” x 11” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 5½”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP to 2½” x 5½”.

I cut a strip of Gold Foil Sheets to ¼” x 5½”. I stamped Merry Christmas from Ornamental Christmas stamp set in Secret Sea ink on a piece of Real Red cardstock. I die cut this with the Branching Out dies on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I added my gold strip to my card base with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I used my Grid Paper to line up the strip ¼” from the left edge of my card.

I adhered my DSP to my card.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add my sentiment.

For a bit of shine, I added two Low Profile Dots to my label. These embellishments are on the Last Chance list at a discount. They are great for adding shine without a lot of bulk.

To finish the card, I stamped my greeting on a 4″ x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.

I hope you liked this card!
