Charming Day Thank You Card

It’s Saturday and I have a simple card for you! Terry did a similar card in her most recent class, but I updated it with current supplies. The colors are perfect for fall.

Stampin’ Up’s first Advent Calendar is now available to order! Introducing the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar, a brand-new calendar full of products you can craft with all year long! Every day of this calendar contains never-before-seen dies, paper, embellishments, and even more items you won’t find in any of our catalogs or in our online store, so make sure to buy one before they’re all gone. And did we mention that these make the perfect gifts for that friend in your life who loves to craft? After all, there’s nothing better than giving the gift of crafting! We only have a limited number of calendars in store, so don’t wait—click here to start shopping now!

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to 4¼” x 11” on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 5½”, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut an additional piece to 2″ x 2″. I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock to 1¼” x 5½”, and embossed it with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut a 2″ x 5½” piece of Floral Charm DSP.

I die cut the almost 2″ square from Stylish Shapes dies out of Basic White cardstock. On another scrap of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the smaller floral image from Charming Day bundle in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image in with Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow, and Deep Combo. When I finished coloring, I die cut the image with the coordinating dies in the bundle.

I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on the die cut square and adhered this to my Pretty Peacock square using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal).

I adhered the Mossy Meadow strip about ½” from the left edge of my card base. I adhered the DSP piece next to this. I adhered my sentiment square about 1″ from the top of the card and centered side to side. I added the floral image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a little sparkle, I added two Pretty Peacock Low-Profile Sparkle Dots, one each above and below the sentiment.

To finish the card, I glued a 4” x 5¼” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.

I hope you liked this updated version of Terry’s card.
