It’s Saturday and I have another simple card. This colorful card features the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper.
To create the card base, I cut a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock to 8*1/2″ x 5-1/2″ on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ to act as a matte. I also cut a piece to 1/2″ x 3-1/2″ I cut a piece of Florals in Bloom DSP to 3″ x 4-1/2″ and then cut this into three strips, each 1″ wide.

I stamped Happy Birthday on a scrap of Pretty in Pink cardstock with a retired stamp with Strawberry Slush ink. I punched the sentiment out with my Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. A good substitute would be the Happy Birthday from Unbounded Love stamp set (see below). It fills the space created by the punch quite nicely.

I adhered my three strips of DSP to my matte using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I laid them on my matte before gluing to ensure my placement and pattern consistency. There was a 1/8″ border along the edges and between the strips. I glued this panel to my card base.
I glued my Strawberry Slush strip about 1/3 of the way up across my panel. I added my sentiment over the strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I added a pink Low-Profile Dot to either side of the sentiment.
To finish the card, I stamped a greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.
I hope you liked this card with a quick and easy layout. It is so versatile and would work with most patterns of DSP.
