Happy Saturday! Today I have a simple card, (and I hope Dot agrees!) that uses the Impressions Abloom bundle that I used earlier this month, but I used a different flower from the set. This set has three different flowers to mix and match. I toyed with the colors a little bit and I’ll post some of the other renditions at the end of the post. You can pick the one you like best to recreate!

Mark your calendars! The Buy One, Get One 50% Off Suites Sale kicks off June 3 and is already shaping up to be a fan favorite! Stampin’ Up! has a special offer where you can snag 50% off a second suite or suite item. (That’s right—suite savings for days! Well . . . for the month of June, that is.) You can purchase whole suites or products within the suites. Check out my website to see what Stampin’ Up! is offering.
Now on to the card!
To make the card base, I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock to 2-7/8″ x 4-1/2″. On my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the third largest rectangle from the Textured Notes dies from Basic White cardstock. I also cut a strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 3/8″ and two 1-4″ x 5-1/2″ strips from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Now that I have all my pieces, it’s time to stamp! I stamped the daisy-like detail image from Impressions Abloom bundle with Daffodil Delight ink in each (approximately) corner of my white die cut piece. I stamped the filler image with Lemon Lolly ink. I find that it is easier to see the darker color through the stamp making it easier to line up. This stamp has distinct spacing which helps lining up the images.

I stamped the solid center of each bloom with Pretty in Pink ink and the detail in Melon Mambo ink. I stamped the leaves first in Lemon Lime Twist for the solid image, and then the veins with Granny Apple Green ink. The leaves are super easy to line up. Finally, I stamped Happy Birthday from Pattern of Friendship stamp set (save 10% on the bundle) with Night of Navy ink.
I glued the background strips on with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) to my card base. To make sure they were straight I taped my card base to my grid paper with low tack tape, making sure the solid black line on the grid paper lined up with the center of my card base. I glued the Granny Apple Green strip down first, making sure it was centered.

I ran a line of glue near top of the strip and added the first Daffodil Delight strip. I found it easier to add the glue to my card base. I snugged the strip up next to the first strip. I repeated this for the second yellow strip.

I adhered my focal panel to the center of the card. To add some sparkle to the card, I added three of the lightest gems from Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems.
To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside the card.
I hope you liked this simple card!
