Flowers of Beauty Card

Today I have a bright and pretty card that uses the Flowers of Beauty bundle, which is still available on the Last Chance List. I love the die cut foliage piece that acts as a backdrop for the flowers. I used only one ink color on this card: Poppy Parade!

The card base was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Basic Beige cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and ran it through the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to 2-5/8″ x 4-1/8″ for a matte for my focal panel. Lastly, I cut a piece of Country Lace DSP to 2-1/2″ x 4″.

I stamped the outline flower image from Flowers of Beauty stamp set with Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cardstock. I stamped the solid image with Poppy Parade ink also, but daubed the ink on with a Sponge Dauber to soften the color. You could also stamp off first. I die cut the flowers with the coordinating die.

I die cut the foliage spray from Granny Apple Green cardstock with the dies from the Flowers of Beauty bundle. I die cut the small flowers from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. You get eight flowers on each strip, so one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and you’re good. So convenient! I used a sponge dauber to add some Poppy Parade ink to the edges of the small flowers for some dimension. I glued the small flowers together with my favorite wet adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Happy Birthday from Unbounded Love stamp set with Poppy Parade ink. I fussy cut the sentiment out with my Paper Snips.

I adhered the embossed panel to my card base with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I also adhered my DSP panel to the Poppy Parade matte piece. I glued these to the card.

I arranged my pieces on my focal panel. I lightly glued these pieces together without adhering them to the card because I wanted to pop it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut a 4″ piece of Gold 1-1/2″ Open Weave Trim. I ran about an inch of tape runner down the middle of my panel and laid the ribbon in it to lightly tack it down.

On top of this I added the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals in the lower left-hand corner. For a little additional sparkle, I added Rhinestones to the center of the small flowers to conceal the hole.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside the card.

I hope you liked this card!
