It’s Simple Saturday and I have a simple card for you.
To make the card base, I cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock to 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. If you would like a narrower gap between the two pieces of DSP, cut the cardstock to 4-3/8″ x 3-1/4″. I also cut a piece of Perennial Lavender DSP to 3″ x 4″. I used the pattern below on this card but there are several patterns in the pack that would work just as beautifully.

See the diagram below for cutting instructions for the DSP.

Using the Spotlight on Nature dies, I die cut the circle from a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I stamped the sentiment from Everyday Details stamp set (on the Last Chance List!) in Momento Tuxedo Black ink on the Crumb Cake circle.
Now that I have all my pieces, I can assemble the card. I adhered the DSP pieces using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) to the Highland Heather piece, with even borders top and sides, and bottom and sides. I glued this panel to my card base. I adhered my circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. As a finishing touch, I tied a bow with some matching purple DMC floss from my favorite hobby store and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot to my circle.
I stamped a sentiment of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued this inside the card.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy card!

This card layout is so easy to use. I posted this card in October using different cardstock and DSP.
