Hugs for Love Card

Today’s card uses the beautiful Bloom Impressions DSP which is a FREE Level 1 Sale-bration choice and the Bee Builder Punch, another Level 1 selection. This beautiful card will surely cheer the recipient up.

I began with a card base by cutting a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Berry Burst cardstock on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 5-1/2″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut an additional piece of Berry Burst cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I ran this through the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Next, I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. I cut a piece of Bloom Impressions DSP to 3″ x 4″.

I stamped the image below from Hugs for Love stamp set (bundle saves 10%) in Berry Burst ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment inside the label with Berry Burst ink. You could easily choose a different sentiment from the set, as there are several to choose from.

I punched out the label image with the To the Point Label punch which is also part of the Hugs for Love bundle. I punched an additional label from Berry Burst cardstock to act as a matte. Since the two labels are the same size, I cut the Berry Burst one in half horizontally before adhering the sentiment with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal).

The last bit is the small heart adhered to the label. I punched the small heart from the Bee Builder punch, which is FREE with a qualifying order, out of Petunia Pop glitter paper from the 2024-2026 In Color 12″ x 12″ Glimmer Paper.

I glued my embossed piece to my card base. You could emboss the front of the card and skip the extra layer, but when I tried that, the folded edge was frayed and didn’t look as clean and neat as I like. It also made the front of my card floppy.

I glued my DSP piece to the Blackberry Bliss matte piece and glued this to the front of my card, centering it. I adhered my label nearer the top of this layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. As a final bit of sparkle, I adhered the glitter heart with a Mini Dimensional.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.

I hope you liked this card!
