One More Year Fun Fold Card

Today I’m featuring the One More Year stamp set. It has several great images and I’ll be featuring this set again, with a different focal image. The sentiments in this set are a little sassy.

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ with my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. The card front will be 1″ shorter than the back, making it a bit more fun! I cut a piece of the Timeless Plaid DSP to 3″ x 5-1/4″. I glued this piece with my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) to the front of my card base. Here is a snippet.

I cut another piece of Timeless Plaid DSP to 1″ x 5-1/4″. I glued this to the right side of the inside of my card, leaving a 1/8″ border. Here is a snippet.

With my Spotlight on Nature dies, I cut a circle from Misty Moonlight cardstock with my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I used the 2-3/4″ sized circle.

I punched a 2-3/8″ circle with my 2-3/8″ Punch from a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the cake image from the One More Year stamp set with Momento Tuxedo Black ink in the center of the white circle. I colored the cake image with my Stampin’ Blends: Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, and Daffodil Delight. I adhered my white circle to my Misty Moonlight circle. If you want to add a little sparkle to the flames, you could brush on a little Wink of Stella.

I cut the smallest rectangle from Everyday Details dies from Basic White cardstock. If you don’t have these retired dies, you can cut a rectangle 7/8″ x 2-5/16″ with your Paper Trimmer instead. I stamped the sentiment on this rectangle with Misty Moonlight ink. You could stamp the sentiment first and then cut if you prefer. I adhered this sentiment to the front of my card on the upper left side using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also used Dimensionals to adhere the circle image being careful to only put Dimensionals on the part that came in contact with the card front. We don’t want to glue our card closed!

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment on a 3″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside the card. It should butt up with the DSP strip inside.

I hope you liked this fun and simple card!
