Pretty Hearts of Elegance Card

I’ve been showcasing the Hearts of Elegance bundle in anticipation of Valentine’s Day next month. This online exclusive bundle is so versatile! You could easily make this into a wedding card. Hmmm, that gives me ideas….

To make the card base, I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 11″ on my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 5-1/2″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheets to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″. I embossed the white piece in my Distressed Tile Embossing Folder with my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I adhered the embossed piece to the Gold Foil using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal) creating a narrow 1/16″ border.

I cut a piece of Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP to 3-1/8″ x 1-3/4″. This online exclusive paper is just gorgeous and so easy to incorporate into your cards. I glued this to the bottom of my panel.

I cut a strip of Real Red cardstock to 3-1/8″ x 1/2″ and a strip of Gold Foil to 3-1/8″ x 1/2″ also. I cut the tiny tag from Layers of Beauty die set from a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the xoxo from Hearts of Elegance stamp set (save 10% on the bundle) with Real Red ink. I glued the red strip to the gold strip leaving a narrow border. I glued this above the DSP piece on my panel.

I cut the heart with the perforated leaf pattern with Hearts of Elegance dies from Gold Foil sheets. I adhered the heart to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a length (about 9″) of DMC gold embroidery thread (from my favorite hobby store) and folded and threaded it through the hole in the tag. I pulled the ends through the loop made by the thread until it was snug. Then I tied a bow with the excess. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the tag and added it to my card.

As a finishing touch, I added three Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins to the card, one of each size.

I hope you liked this pretty card!
