Star Santa card

Need a quick and easy, but a little bit quirky Christmas card? Today is your day! My friend Gigi Parido designed this cute card.

To make my card base, I cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ with my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, and burnished with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and ran it through my Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder with my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

I stamped the Santa image from the Sweetest Star bundle with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock. I colored the image with Real Red, Basic Black, and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. I added some Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. I punched out the Santa with my Sweetest Star Punch from the bundle. I punched three more stars from the holly pattern in the Reindeer Days DSP pack.

I stamped the sentiment on a 2-3/8″ x 1-5/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock about 1/4″ from the right edge with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Using my Paper Snips, I flagged the left side.

Using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal), I adhered the Real Red matte piece to my card base. I arranged the three punched holly stars on the panel, and then glued them to the matte. I adhered the Santa star with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I added my sentiment to the lower left-hand corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I added three Basic Rhinestones.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and glued it inside my card.

I hope you liked this fun card!
