Season of Green and Gold Card

We are speeding along to the holidays! Less than two months until Christmas! It’s time to start planning our holiday cards today. Today’s card is simple and so elegant.

I started with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ with my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″ and burnished with my Bone Folder to make my card base. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for my matte. From Season of Gold and Green 12″ x 12″ DSP, I cut a strip from the green background paper to 4-1/2″ x 2-1/4″. I cut a strip of the leaf image to 4-1/2″ x 1-1/4″. With a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, I die cut the 2-1/4″ circle from Spotlight on Nature die set using my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I stamped “Season’s Greetings” from the Greetings of the Season stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink. Finally, I die cut some fir sprigs from the Season of Gold and Green DSP using the coordinating die set, Golden Greenery.

To assemble the card, I adhered the Very Vanilla matte to the card base using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I laid out the two DSP strips on the matte to determine the position. Left to right, I created even borders, and the top and bottom borders were about 3/8″, the wider strip on the left and narrower on the right. I adhered two of the die cut DSP fir sprigs on the left side strip, overlapping them slightly. Using Dimensionals, I adhered the circle with the greeting, hiding the stem ends of the sprig. As a finishing touch, I tied a bow with Gold Twisted Thread (a new online exclusive available November 5) and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot to the circle above the greeting.

To finish the card, I glued a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card after stamping my sentiment.

I hope you liked this card!
