Today’s card is perfect for my Simple Saturday theme! It is quick to whip up when you need a simple Happy New Home card.
To begin, I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ with my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″. I burnished the fold with my Bone Folder. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using my Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. With the red grid sheet from Regal Distressed Patterns 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, I cut a strip 2″ x 5-1/4″. I cut a 1/2″ x 5-1/4″ strip from Gold Foil.
I die cut the 3-1/4″ circle from the Spotlight on Nature die set out of Real Red cardstock. Also from Real Red cardstock, I punched two windows and a heart using the Humble Home Builder Punch. I punched the house image from Crumb Cake cardstock.
I stamped “Congratulations” on a 7/8″ by 3-1/4″ strip of Crumb Cake cardstock. The Congratulations stamp is from Loveliest Tree Cling Stamp Set. I flagged the right side of the strip using my Paper Snips. I tied a bow with some red satin ribbon.
To assemble the card, I adhered the gold foil strip to the left side of my embossed Crumb Cake matte using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I adhered my red grid strip of DSP on top of that, leaving a 1/8″ border to the left. I adhered this to my Real Red card base. To the circle, I adhered the Crumb Cake house and added the Real Red windows and heart. I adhered the die cut circle, centering side to side, about 3/4″ from the top. I glued the red satin ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot to the left side of the banner. I adhered the banner below the house but slightly overlapping the circle with Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I glued a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card after stamping my sentiment.
I hoped you enjoyed this card!
