Happy Saturday! Today’s card is simple but so elegant. The Designer Series Paper does all the work! The photograph really does not do it justice. It is so much prettier in person.
To start, I cut a piece of Wild Wheat cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ using my Paper Trimmer, scored and folded at 4-1/4″, burnished with my bone folder. I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ to create a matte. Next, I cut a piece of the Wild Wheat flower image from Regal Winter 12″ x 12″ DSP to 3″x 4″. Remember to pay attention to the direction of the DSP when cutting. To get the diagonal cut, I used a ruler to mark, using a pencil, 1″ down from the upper left corner on the 4″ side and 1″ up from the lower right corner. I lined up the pencil marks in the track of my Paper Trimmer and cut the diagonal. I positioned the DSP on my black matte and then glued using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal). I glued this to my card base.
With a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, I die cut the 2-1/8″ circle from Spotlight on Nature dies, using my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. I stamp the sentiment from Everyday Details stamp set on the circle die cut. I tied a bow with the black twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it above my sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot. I adhered the circle to my card using Dimensionals.
I finished the card with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock adhered inside the card after stamping my greeting.
I hope you enjoyed this super easy card with this versatile DSP and fun layout!
