Today I have a simple card using the Country Flowers bundle from the annual catalog. The colors help set the mood for fall.
I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half. Next, I cut a piece of Wild Wheat cardstock to 5-1/4″ x 2″ and adhered it to the left side of the card base leaving a 1/8″ border using my favorite adhesive (Multipurpose liquid glue or Stampin’ Seal). With the Country Lace 12″ x 12″ DSP, I cut a piece 2″ x 4″ with the image going vertically and adhered it toward the upper left side of the card.
With my Stampin’ Cut and Embossing machine, I cut the third largest scalloped rectangle from my Stitched So Sweetly dies (sadly, retired) from Basic White cardstock. With a scrap of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower image and the bucket with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the Flower Market image on the bucket. To color the images, I used my Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Misty Moonlight, Soft Sea Foam, Petal PInk, and Wild Wheat. I used the coordinating dies to cut out both images. I adhered the bucket to my rectangle and adhered my flowers using Dimensionals. I glued the focal image to the front of my card. To add the sentiment, I cut a strip of Wild Wheat cardstock to 3/4″ x 3-1/4″ and stamped Happy Birthday from the Go to Greetings stamp set (sadly, also retired) and using my Paper Snips, cut a flag on the left side. Again, I adhered this using Dimensionals. To finish the card, glue a piece of Basic White cardstock, cut at 5-1/4″ x 4″ to the inside after stamping your chosen sentiment.
