Today I have this pretty card using the Country Flowers bundle. I CASEd this card from Mikaela Titheridge and her Crafty Oink Pen blog with a couple minor alterations.
I started with a card base from Smoky Slate cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Yes, I changed it up a little! Next, I took a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4″ x 10-1/2″, scored and folded at 5-1/4. This will be the actual card.
I ran a 4 ” x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder through my Stampin’ Cut Embossing Machine and adhered it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card. I find this adheres better because of the embossing on the cardstock. I adhered a 1″ x 5-1/4″ strip from the Country Lace 12″ x 12″ DSP to the left side using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. You may need to trim the edges a bit to make them even. Adhere the card to the Smoky Slate card base.
With a scrap of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower and bucket images using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, which is a color-safe ink for the Stampin’ Blends. I colored the images using Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink, Shaded Spruce, Smoky Slate, and the Color Lifter. Did you know you can pull a little color from one marker to another to blend? That is how I got the lighter Shaded Spruce. Use the blunt end of the Color Lifter marker and touch it to the Shaded Spruce marker. Add this to the leaves in the image to give them an ombre look. You can also use the Color Lifter to soften the colors on the flowers. Give it a try! After coloring the images, I used the dies to cut them out.
With a scrap of Basic White cardstock, die cut the second largest square from the Stylish Shapes dies. You can cut the flowers from the Country Flowers dies from another scrap of Basic White cardstock at the same time. Using the Bough punch and Basic White cardstock, punch the buds three times for three sprigs.
Turn the square so the points are top and bottom. Stamp the sentiment “so lucky to know you” near the point to the right in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Make a bow with the white twine in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.
Now you have all the bits and pieces to assemble the card. Glue the square about 1/2″ from the top of the card with the corner pointing up. Glue the bucket to the left side of the square. Add Dimensionals to the back of the flowers. Before removing the backing, place the arrangement where you want it to go. Add glue to the buds and slide them under the image and adhere where you want them to go. When you are happy with them, peel the backings off the Dimensionals and adhere the flowers to the card. Add the white die cut flowers with a dab of glue or a Mini Glue Dot. Add a rhinestone to the center of each flower. Secure the bow to the left of the focal image using a MIni Glue Dot.
I hope you like this card!
