Waves of Inspiration Totally Awesome Card

The height of summer is the perfect time to make this beautiful card!

This card has a 5.5″ x 8.5″ piece of Night of Navy Cardstock as its base.

For the textured effect on the card, cut a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock and use your Blending Brush to touch over the cardstock with Balmy Blue ink. Then, with a very light touch, use your Blending Brush to touch over where you will stamp the wave with Night of Navy ink.

Create the gorgeous sea foam effect of the wave with heat embossing! Stamp the wave from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set in VersaMark ink. Then, cover with white embossing powder, tap off excess, and carefully heat with your Heat Tool.

I stamped a few birds from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set in Early Espresso on the Balmy Blue cardstock.

Next, I stamped the pelican and greeting from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. I cut out the pelican with my Waves Dies and cut out the greeting with a point on one side.

Finally, I wrapped the greeting with a bit of Linen Thread and adhered the pelican and greeting to the card with dimensionals.
